A TALE OF TWO TILLIES
A TALE OF TWO TILLIES
The name “Tale of Two Tillies” is based on the Tilyou family’s history in developing the two areas. In the early 1900s, George “Tilly” Tilyou played an instrumental role in the development of beloved seaside communities of Coney Island, NY and Asbury Park, NJ. Nearly a century later, on the same day, within the same year, Coney Island Brewery and Asbury Park Brewery opened their boardwalk taproom doors to the public, unaware of each other at the time. In honor of George, their boardwalks, and wild coincidences, the two have partnered to create this unique IPA brewed exclusively with hops grown in NY and NJ.
